49 couples, coming from 18 nations where facing the CPEDI*** of Deauville, organised by the association Handi Equi’ Compet, from March 31st to April 2nd. The riders had two specific goals, win one of the 11 titles at stake, but also accumulate points for the purpose of the Göteborg European Championships’ selections.

Great Britain dominated the competition since it picked up the gold medal for the seventh year in a row in the Nations Cup, and remains undefeated in Normandy. Likewise, it’s the English rider Sophie Wells who won the title of best rider of the competition, while José Letartre was sacred best French rider.

The CPEDI*** of Deauville was the perfect opportunity to discover Handisport equitation and admire the athletes’ performances. Éric Estrier, president of the Handi Equi’ Compet association, gives us his impressions : “It was a wonderful edition both sportively and humanly speaking. The volunteer team was very motivated and professional, everything went well. This was a competition with no false note, and it makes us want to go back for 20 years.
